Taylor Swift is still on top. Her song "Patient Zero" spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated October 17, 2026. Two songs are new to the top 10 this week: Drake and Don Toliver's "Solar Eclipse" and ADÉLA's "Nicole Kidman." Here's the whole top 10, from No. 1 down.
1. "Patient Zero" — Taylor Swift
"Patient Zero" debuted at No. 1 last week and holds the top spot for week two. It's Swift's 16th No. 1. The song is one of four new tracks on the deluxe edition of her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, released September 25. She wrote and produced it with Max Martin and Shellback.

What does this week's chart tell us?
Pop stars and country singers share the top of the chart almost evenly. Long-running hits like "Choosin' Texas" and "Dracula" are still holding on, while new releases tied to deluxe albums and reissues, like Swift's and Drake's, jump right in. The Hot 100 counts streams, radio play and sales, so a big album week can quickly push a song to the top.
