The album was first expected in late 2024 and slipped into 2026. Singles like "OverTh!nking," "Free Mr. Banks," "Diamond Stitching" and "I Don't Care" (with Lil Yachty) kept fans fed in the meantime. Pitchfork's Olivier Lafontant wrote that Lucki retooled his hazy sound to be more broadly accessible, while arguing he was losing some of the emotional honesty of his earlier work. AllMusic noted the album keeps addressing his struggles with addiction and mental health.
We covered the release and his tour plans in Lucki's Dr*gs R Bad, Billboard Top 10 and Bad Influence Tour.
