Rapper Watch Alert: BunnaB is building the summer one cookout at a time

A new entry in our Rapper Watch series — BunnaB stacks singles, hits Route 29 Pavilion and Myrtle Beach in June, and turns the Ice Cream Summer / Bunna Summa run into a region-by-region rollout.

Rapper Watch Alert is our running series flagging artists we think are about to break out of their current radius. This entry: BunnaB.

If you've been near the southeast festival circuit this year, you've probably already heard the name. BunnaB is in that very specific moment where the catalog is deep enough to DJ a full set off, the shows are real (not just IG flyers), and the rollout is starting to look planned instead of posted.

The catalog is doing the work

Apple Music currently lists BunnaB with a stack of 2025 singles and EPs — Bunna Summa, Innit, Mad Again (off the Bunna Summa (Ice Cream Summer Deluxe)), the Boat Remix, Hoes Be Mad, plus a 2026 single, Best Bitch, dated April 24, 2026.

The bunnab.com /music page is even more telling — it's built like a release wall, with Ice Cream Summer, A.T.L.A.N.T.A, Bunna Summa, and Awf Da Perky each getting their own art and their own smartlink. That's not a SoundCloud dump. That's a project-by-project rollout where every drop has its own identity.

The shows are local-first, on purpose

The /shows page is the part that pushed this from "interesting" to "watch this." Upcoming dates include:

  • June 13 — Route 29 Pavilion, Concord, NC
  • June 20 — 1409 US-17 BUS, Myrtle Beach, SC

Both are wired up through Bandsintown with RSVP + ticket links. This is the local-circuit version of a tour — Carolinas pavilion, beach-town strip — and it's the exact lane where southern rap careers actually get built before the festival bookings come in.

The platform spread

The distribution footprint is the other tell. BunnaB is live across Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, and TikTok (@therealbunnab), with the Instagram handle running as honeybunsecrets — a separate brand voice from the artist name. That split between artist account and lifestyle/brand account is a small thing, but it's what acts in growth mode tend to do once they start thinking past one song.

Why we're flagging it

The pattern we look for in Rapper Watch Alert: an artist with (1) a steady release cadence, (2) booked dates that aren't just hometown, and (3) a brand layer that's clearly being managed, not just posted. BunnaB hits all three right now.

Nothing about this says "viral moment." It says build. Stack singles, work the region, keep the visuals coherent — the kind of run that turns into a real summer if even one of these singles catches the right TikTok wave.

For coverage angle: BunnaB isn't waiting for a co-sign. The catalog and the calendar are already doing the work.
