The festival calendar between June 9 and July 7, 2026 is stacked. Rock pilgrims are heading to Donington, Bonnaroo is taking over a Tennessee farm, and Lyrical Lemonade is turning a Chicago soccer stadium into the loudest rap weekend of the summer. Below is the official rundown — dates and links pulled only from each festival's own site, no aggregators, no rumors.

Festivals happening in the next few weeks — June and July 2026

1. Download Festival — June 10–14, 2026

Donington Park, UK. The UK's defining rock and metal weekend returns to Donington with a five-day run. Guns N' Roses, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park anchor a 90+ artist lineup announced by the festival in November 2025. Official site: downloadfestival.co.uk (opens in a new tab).

8. Afro Nation Portugal — July 3–5, 2026

Portimão, Portugal. The global Afrobeats flagship returns to the Algarve beachfront — three days of African and diaspora urban music with one of the strongest fashion crowds in festival season. Official site: afronation.com (opens in a new tab).

How to read the calendar

Four festivals overlap on the weekend of June 12–14 (Download, NXNE, Bonnaroo, Summer Smash), and the June 18–20 weekend stacks Summerfest's opener against Sónar. If you're picking one trip: Summer Smash for hip-hop, Afro Nation for global urban culture, Summerfest for the bigger U.S. festival with the most confirmed press, and Sónar for electronic and music-tech.

Always check the official site for tickets, lineup updates, and entry rules before booking.
