The fabric tells the story
This is a 220gsm flex cotton — 97% cotton, 3% spandex. That weight matters. Most fast-fashion cargos in this price range are 100% polyester or a thin twill that pills after three washes. 220gsm puts this in the same neighborhood as a midweight chino: thick enough to hold its shape on the leg, light enough to wear in spring and fall. The 3% spandex is the difference between sitting down comfortably and feeling like you're in a uniform.

The cut
High rise, relaxed straight leg, real (not decorative) cargo pockets on both thighs, two back patch pockets, and what looks like a small ankle drawstring on the hem. Sizing runs 26 through 35 in three colors — black, grey, and army green — which is broader than what most of the trendy direct-to-consumer brands offer.

Who these are for
If you've been wearing the same pair of black Dickies for two years, these are your upgrade. They're also the move if you're a producer or DJ who lives in functional pockets (your wallet, lighter, and a pair of in-ears fit in the cargo pocket without bulging out). Style with a fitted tank, a baby tee, or layer over a long-sleeve when it gets cold.
The catch
The catch with most Soulsfeng drops is the same — items go "sold out" on the site fast and restock timing is unpredictable. If your size is in stock, don't bookmark it. At $38 it's also worth knowing the brand sits in the "affordable workwear" tier, not the heritage tier — so don't expect Carhartt-level seam construction.
